Structuring a lesson - Stages of a lesson plan

Here's a basic structure of a lesson plan - suitable for young learners and ESL students

Introduction	Greet the class and introduce the key language.
Warmer	An activity to warm the class up.
Presentation	Show the students, flashcards, videos or pictures to present the key vocabulary.
Practice	Practice the key vocabulary in a controlled environment using fun activities or games.
Production	Use fun activities or games as mediums to produce the key vocabulary.
Summary and review	Go over the key vocabulary and provide feedback.
Cooler	​Play a song or video related to the key vocabulary. Less energetic games / activities work well as coolers too.
